  Our pastor, Reverend Dennis W. Derr, is a 1974 graduate of Bloomsburg University, and a 1979 graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. He began preaching in 1975. He is a clergy member of the Central Pennsylvania Conference. He has been Chairperson of the Conference Division of Evangelism, served on the Executive Committee for the Board of Discipleship and the Committee on Camping and Related Ministries. He has served as Cluster Leader and has led many evangelistic meetings. Dennis served on the Executive Board of the North East Jurisdiction Evangelical Connection which stands for scriptural orthodoxy as it applies to the life, ministry, mission and theology of our church. He currently serves on the Board of Ordained Ministry.
Dennis is married to Diane. They have three children, two daughters and a son. The Derr's came to Trinity in July of 1994 from East Prospect, Zion United Methodist Church. At that time they had a child in elementary, middle and high school. Now all their children are graduated from high school and on to adult pursuits. Dennis and Diane are even grandparents! Trinity Church has grown as well.
Dennis' hobby is music. He plays guitar - often in our early worship service!
